Born from rowing. Designed to represent it.

About Collar & Loom

I’m Toby Lassen, and I started rowing in 2014 at Great Marlow School.

Since then, rowing has taken me from Oxford Brookes University to Marlow Rowing Club and onto the international stage. I’ve represented Great Britain, become a two-time Under-23 World Champion in the Men’s Eight, and won three times at Henley Royal Regatta with Oxford Brookes: the Temple Challenge Cup in 2022, the Visitors’ Challenge Cup in 2023 and the Grand Challenge Cup in 2024.

But the things I value most about rowing aren’t the medals.

They’re the people, the clubs, the traditions, the colours and the sense of belonging.

Why Collar & Loom?

Collar & Loom started with a simple idea: if your rowing club means so much to you, why shouldn’t you be able to represent it in what you wear every day?

My mum already had a custom garment business, so we combined her experience in clothing with my experience in rowing to create something different from traditional rowing merchandise.

Clothing that could be worn to a regatta, a club dinner, a formal event or simply out with friends. And rather than relying on a large club logo, we wanted to create pieces that let you wear your colours in a more understated way.

Rowing, beyond the boat.

Collar & Loom is about taking club identity beyond the boathouse.

We create rowing apparel that feels like clothing first and merchandise second, from everyday pieces to personalised club collections.

Because your club is more than where you row. It’s the early mornings, the journeys, the people, the celebrations, the disappointments and the memories that come with them.

We want to create clothing that carries a little bit of that with you.

Made for rowers. Inspired by clubs.

Our ambition is to build Collar & Loom into a leading fashion and lifestyle brand within rowing, creating clothing for the whole community: juniors, university athletes, club rowers, coaches, alumni and families.

Whether you’ve spent six months or sixty years at your club, we want you to feel proud wearing its colours.

For me, Collar & Loom is personal. I’ve spent more than a decade wearing rowing colours, and I believe that feeling of belonging shouldn’t stop when you leave the boathouse.

Wear your colours. Represent your club.
